The student council did a great skit for us at song practice.  Their Olympians for God skit was creative and fun!  Thanks!

Saturday night is the Catholic Charities Harvest of Hope Dinner.  Students who signed up to serve should be at the parish hall at St. Patrick's Church at 6:00 p.m.  They should wear their school uniform.

Tomorrow is the junior high dance from 2:15-5:00!  Hope everyone can come!  The theme is related to the Olympics.  You may wear  a sports jersey or  sports tee if you have one.  Otherwise, free dress is fine.

Thanks for returning family envelopes and emergency forms.

Thanks for sending back permission slips for servers for the Catholic Charities dinner.  The students will be given more information about serving in the upcoming weeks.  The dinner is Saturday, Aug. 13th at St. Patrick's Hall.

Tonight:  Sports Meeting in the auditorium at 6 p.m.--all 5th-8th athletes

Tomorrow night:  Safe Environment Training in the auditorium at 6 p.m.
                              for anyone who hasn't been trained who wishes to help
                              at school or go on field trips.

Students need to have their planners signed every night.  This shows Mom/Dad what work the student had assigned.  Please help your student manage their homework so they get their work completed.  Thanks!

Religion:  Learn Morning Offering prayer (it is in the newsletter that went home yesterday)
                 Each month we will learn the new prayer.  It will be recited on the last school day
                 of the month to the teacher.  20 pts.
          
                 St. Vincent lunch this Friday for 7th grade.  It is always the first Friday of the month
                 for our class.  It is a class grade for religion.  20 pts.  (up to 25 pts. if decorated).
                 If students forget to bring the lunch they will have a missing assignment.  They may
                 make up a lunch on another Friday, receiving 10 pts for one lunch, 20 pts. for two).
